Camping
Are there any size restrictions on campgrounds or parking lots?
- Most campgrounds, RV parks and RV resorts cater to smaller vehicles (especially privately owned campgrounds). If you are driving a larger "rig", it is recommended to call ahead to book a spacious site for your RV rental.
- Make sure when you are booking a campground reservation to mention how long your RV is (include anything you are towing), how wide it is with slide-outs and roll out awning extended, and how high your vehicle is. You do not want to lose your security deposit by scraping your vehicle on branches.
Is it necessary to make reservations for campgrounds?
- It is not necessary to make reservations for campgrounds, but it is recommended. Campgrounds can book up quickly during long weekends, holidays, and the summer months.
Is it possible to rent any other camping equipment?
- Some of our depots do rent camping equipment such as lawn chairs and portable BBQ's, however it is only a few that do and they are subject to availability. For most camping equipment, it is recommended to bring your own.
What is "boondocking" or "dry camping"?
- "Boondocking" or "dry camping" refers to camping without hook-ups. Basically you use the generator instead of electrical water hook ups. The holding tanks would be used for sewage hook-ups.

What should I look for in a prospective campground?

- Is the campground close to your vacation destination, or is it off the beaten track?
- What facilities or amenities are included for the cost of the campground?
- What hook-ups are available?
- Are they able to accommodate your rig size? Some campgrounds don't have large enough sites for bigger RVs, especially if they are towing. It is recommended that you inquire about size restraints ahead of time.
RV Parks? RV Resorts? State Campgrounds? How do I decide what is right for me?
- State campgrounds offer basic facilities. Some campgrounds do not have hook-ups, showers, or flush toilets, however they do offer an unspoiled beauty of the outdoors that you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else.
- RV Parks/Campgrounds are campgrounds that usually offer flush toilets, communal showers, and some kind of swimming pool, pond, or lake.
- RV Resorts are more expensive and are great for people looking for a higher end kind of camping. RV Resorts usually have a store on site, amenities such as a lounge, maybe a miniature golf course.
Facilities?
- Every campground has something different to offer. Some basic facilities offered include flush toilets and showers (although not every one offers these).

- Please inquire into your prospective campground about what facilities or amenities available.
